Images taken during Exercise Tiger, the top-secret D-Day training that took place in Slapton, Devon. During Exercise Tiger, 946 soldiers lost their lives due to a lack of communication and surprise attach from German E-Boats. The story of this tragedy is what inspired Michael Morpurgo’s novel The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips.
